JCB to increase loader line-up

JCB continues to develop its skid steer and compact track loader line-up, which currently comprises seven vertical lift machines and two recently launched radial lift models, the 225 and 225T, whereby maximum reach is achieved in the middle of the reach cycle rather than at its highest point.

The introduction of these latter machines completes the large

platform segment of JCB’s New Generation range. Smaller models are expected to be launched in the first quarter of next year, and eventually the manufacturer will offer a total range of 18 wheeled and tracked machines, both radial and vertical lift, with rated operating capacities ranging from 590 to 1587kg. All current models incorporate JCB’s

PowerBoom design, which uses a single arm, rather than having a conventional twin arm configuration steer design. They do not require a torque tube across the back of the machine, giving

Easy loading with APS

Access Platform Sales (APS) is the UK distributor for the Hinowa range of tracked mini dumpers, with capacities from 500 to 2500kg, and which can accept a wide range of interchangeable attachments, such as trenchers, augers, a self-loading cement mixer, a winch and forklift kits. Machines can be specified with petrol or diesel engines, while the smallest HS400 model is also available in a battery powered format. APS says that one of the most popular units is the HS1100 high tip dumper bed model which has a skip capacity of 0.29m3

, and its 1645mm

tipping height enables the load to be discharged not only into a skip, but also a truck. The company says that, since the machine’s self-loading mechanism uses a mast instead of a scissor pack, its tracks can be driven underneath the back of the vehicle, allowing the load to be tipped further forward into the truck bed. An extending undercarriage is available as an option for additional stability

operators an unobstructed rear view. The units have a larger entry door and a 17% bigger cab than previous generation models, and they retain the left side door that is designed to allow the operator to enter and exit the machine clear of the attachment and loader arm. The cab tilts to improve access to the power train and hydraulic components, while engine servicing and daily maintenance checks are facilitated by the incorporation of a rear service door, a top-opening canopy and a hinged radiator.
