ruit of the Loom Hooded Sweats and Hooded Sweat Jackets are iconic sports garments in a full palette of teamwear colourways. Suitable for use as training, team warm-up and supporter wear, the Hooded designs appeal to, and are worn by, people of all ages.
The classic Hooded Sweat is made from 80% cotton/20% polyester (280 gm/m2) fabric, using quality-guaranteed Belcoro yarns. As with all of the Fruit of the Loom Sweats, the yarns are knitted to produce a fabric with 100% cotton facing for minimal pilling, excellent durability and enhanced printability. The garment features a front pouch pocket and double fabric hood with self-coloured drawcord. Its waist and cuff rib is constructed from a blend of cotton and Lycra for superior shape retention. “A big selling point of the Hooded Sweat is its 18-strong colour palette, which covers all of the most popular team colourways,” says Joanne Lewis, marketing manager. She continues: “The same goes for the garmentʼs size range: the adultsʼ Hooded Sweat comes in sizes S-XXL, and there is a matching Childrenʼs style – in seven colours, including white, which we introduced this year – that is available in sizes 5/6 - 14/15 years.”
Fruit of the Loom also offers zip-through hoodies in adults (for both men and women) and childrenʼs styles. The Menʼs Hooded Sweat Jacket, Lady-Fit Hooded Sweat Jacket and Childrenʼs Hooded Sweat Jacket are athletics- style hoodies that are especially good for layering, on account of their front zip opening. The Menʼs and Childrenʼs styles are made from 70% cotton/30% polyester fleece fabric, (280 gm/m2), while the Lady-Fit style uses 75% cotton/25% polyester fabric (280 gm/m2). All feature twin front pouch pockets, and a double fabric hood: the Menʼs has a self-coloured draw cord; the Lady-Fitʼs has a wider self-coloured herringbone drawcord/tape; and the Childrenʼs has no draw cord, in line with European childrenʼs clothing safety legislation. The Menʼs hoodie is available in nine colours: the Lady-Fit and Childrenʼs in five apiece. The Fruit of the Loom Hooded Sweats collection is completed by two further Menʼs styles – the Baseball Hooded Sweat and Heavy Hooded Sweat. The Baseball version is notable for its contrast colour raglan sleeves and draw cord, which echo the companyʼs Baseball T designs. The Heavy Hooded Sweat, in luxury heavyweight, (340 gm/m2) brushed back fleece fabric, offers the ultimate in warmth and comfort and would be a welcome addition to any teamʼs livery. The Baseball Hooded Sweat is available in four contrast colourways, and the Heavy Hooded Sweat comes in a choice of three colours.
