Le Boreal / L’Austral

LE BOREAL / L’AUSTRAL, the newest yachts to join Tauck’s fleet, launched a new era of award-winning small

ship cruise travel. Le Boreal, named “Best Newcomer of the Year in 2010” for elegance, personality, eco-friendly technologies and the highest quality standards, welcomed her sister ship L’Austral in 2011. Both vessels have six decks that include an elegant main dining room serving French and international cuisine; a casual grill restaurant with terrace dining; three lounges offering evening entertainment, bars and access to the open decks; Le Théâtre, hosting informative lectures and entertainment; a Fitness and Beauty / Massage Corner; a Medical Center; and multiple observation areas. Elevators serve all passenger decks. 132 staterooms (ranging from 200 to 210 sq. ft.) and suites (ranging from 301 to 398 sq. ft.) have ocean views; 95% have private balconies. Cabins are decorated by French designers, offering individually controlled air conditioning, two twin beds converting to a king-size bed or a sofa converting into a queen-size bed, video on demand, flat-screen TV with satellite channels, iPod dock, electronic safe and minibar. L’Austral’s cabins have showers; bathtubs are available on Le Boreal only. All Superior cabins and Prestige suites can accommodate triples.
