LE PONANT, a majestic three-masted schooner, cruises to small islands, hidden harbors and exclusive ports of call in the
Mediterranean with up to 60 guests aboard; she is stylish, friendly and relaxed. You’ll feel as though you are cruising with family – the Captain and the crew are passionate about what they do, in the tradition of private yachting, and create a comfortable environment where guests interact with everyone aboard. Life in the open sea air is invigorating, stirring the senses and transforming the soul. Le Ponant was specially designed for worldwide cruising to remote destinations that are accessible only by small ships – specifically, Mediterranean locales that the big ships can’t reach. Coastal navigation and “island hopping” are easily accomplished, and the memory of Le Ponant’s dramatic entries into narrow harbors, such as Corsica’s fjord-like harbor at Bonifacio, stays with you forever.
On board, you’ll find four decks featuring a small library, a cozy lounge with evening piano music, a small boutique, and a full-service bar. Continental breakfast is served in your stateroom or the lounge, or you can enjoy a full American-style buffet in the outdoor panoramic restaurant; lunch is also served in the outdoor restaurant, buffet style; and dinner is served nightly in the window-lined restaurant. Staterooms (approx. 150 sq. ft.) are all outside staterooms and include a private bathroom with shower, minibar, multi-channel music system, individual climate control, and a telephone with worldwide satellite access.
