2. RAFTING* & MORE FUN IN BRATISLAVA The ms Swiss Jewel arrives in Slovakia’s capital, Bratislava, a city with 1,700 years’ worth of stories to tell. Play detective on a scavenger hunt; look up, down and sideways! Shoot the “rapids” on a controlled whitewater rafting course* used to train Olympians. (Note: Minimum age for rafting is 12; an alternate activity will be provided for guests under 12.) 3. VIENNA AND SCHÖNBRUNN PALACE Welcome to Vienna; Austria’s capital was the heart of the old Habsburg Empire, but has a modern, 21st-century side, too. City sightseeing takes in the Ringstrasse, beautiful gardens, parks and architecture. Find out how the royals lived at Schönbrunn Palace,

PRATER, VIENNA AND STRÜDEL-MAKING Family fun reigns at the Vienna Prater, whose 250+ attractions include the Giant Ferris Wheel (which film buffs will recognize from the 1940s classic, The Third Man), ghost trains and modern roller coasters; ride the Ferris Wheel and tour the park. Later, explore Old Town or check out some of Vienna’s more than 100 museums and cultural institutions on your own during a free afternoon. Back aboard, take part in a hands-on strüdel-making demonstration... which includes a tasting of this delectable Viennese treat! Cruise the Wachau Valley this evening. Meals BLD
5. DÜRNSTEIN & BIKE* THEDANUBE TO KREMS Wake up in Dürnstein, whose twisting cobblestone streets are lined with 16th-century houses, for a leisurely bike ride* along the Danube to the country town of Krems and back. The Wachau Valley is known for its vineyards, and we’ve included a wine tasting for the adults today. You might want to hike high above the town to the ruins of Kuenringerburg Castle, where Richard the Lionhearted was once held for ransom... the views are spectacular! 6. SALZBURG AND TRICKY HELLBRUNN CASTLE Dock in Linz for an excursion to Salzburg, Mozart’s alpine hometown. Just outside of town, take a private tour of Hellbrunn Castle, built centuries ago for the amusement of the wealthy Prince Archbishop of Salzburg, who had an odd sense of humor. As you and your family stroll through this summer palace of fun – filled with trick fountains, grottoes, hundreds of statues, and water-driven 18th-century animatronics – you’ll find out firsthand how the Archbishop surprised and befuddled his guests!
