Rimfire Pistol Semi-auto

that you can’t let anyone else have a go with it! How silly is that? In other words, you can’t buy one as a club gun. However, I’ve heard that things may be changing in that direction.....

You even get spare front-sights – different heights for different ranges.

In the old PP days, we used to throw together a few stages or ‘scenarios’ in a similar way to the Practical Shotgun guys do. Get yourself a few cardboard targets and have some fun - plenty of double-taps and mag. changes and best of all - no reloading! Mind you, you soon get through a hundred rounds! Barrel bushing is a bit sloppy – a tighter one would improve accuracy.

adjusted. But, this is not a target pistol as such. If you want a 22 semi-auto target pistol, then best try that Browning Buckmark!

Normally, with any firearm test, I would be showing you some targets with tiny little groups – sorry, not with the GSG – not yet anyway. This is a fun pistol and is great for plinking and, hopefully, someone will start to put together a few Practical Pistol events. There are already three 1911s in my own club and several shooters have expressed an interest, though of course, so silly are the rules surrounding long-barrel pistols,

I couldn’t wait – my ‘silly thing’ is now matt-black. Looks better –yes?

The UK ‘silly thing’ is fixed in place with screws which shear the head as they are done-up – you could remove it but it wouldn’t be a two-minute affair. You know it makes sense!

The ten-round magazines are very well made – from die- cast metal. They are easy to load and can be inserted or ejected as fast as you like. As yet, I’ve only tried the CCI Mini Mag – it functions flawlessly
