Welcome to the new look October 2011 edition of Target Shooter Magazine

Although we started out just 30 months ago as a UK based magazine, our overseas readership has outstripped our wildest expectations and continues to grow month by month with shooters in over 77 countries worldwide now reading Target Shooter.
We are therefore seeking to include more international writers and articles in Target Shooter. Of course, we already have Brooksie’s regular column from ‘down-under’ and Pedro Mateus from Portugal has another excellent article in this month’s issue and we welcome submissions from overseas readers, including major match reports, which may not otherwise receive publicity.
Our new-look website
www.targetshooteronline.com is receiving a record number of hits and the take-up on the free Target Shooter app is growing steadily. If you have an iPad, please try this format as it is easily the most convenient way to read Target Shooter.
Here in the UK, it hasn’t been a great summer but it hasn’t stopped the shooting and both Vince and Carl managed to find some sun at the centrefire World Benchrest Championships in France and the rimfire World Benchrest Championships in America. You can read Vince’s report in this issue plus a follow-up article from Carl on the rimfire Championship.
Our target shooting season is now drawing to a close but there is plenty to look forward to with the F Class Europeans at Bisley in November. This is the biggest F Class competition anywhere in the world and attracts a massive entry from all over Europe – a truly international event. Target Shooter will be there – not only reporting on the match but shooting shoulder to shoulder with many of our readers.
Finally, as always, we welcome your comments – constructive or otherwise. We can’t please everyone but remember, Target Shooter will always be free to read on-line. However we sincerely thank those of you who have downloaded the .pdf or Apple app, for your contribution.
