n a nutshell, affiliate marketing involves using a network of sites, such as blogs; related-interest— also known as “content”— websites; cash-back, voucher and comparison-shopping sites, as


well as shopping portals, to drive traffic to an online retailer’s site. In return, the affiliate receives a commission, typically for each sale it refers. Affiliate marketing is attractive because merchants only pay when a sale is made, often making it a very cost-effective way of recruiting new customers.


It is estimated that the affiliate market in the UK is currently worth some £5 billion and is growing year-on-year. To help you make a more informed decision about which network is best for you, we sent a questionnaire to nine companies inviting their feedback indicating their specialities and technology offering.
