All three women worked tirelessly to make the event a success and their hard work paid off. Well attended by those in the community, it also boasted celebrities from Desperate Housewives, ER, NYPD Blue, and The Bold and The Beautiful. All in attendance were treated to healthy appetizers from Real Food Daily.
Attendees were able to speak to the vendors about the products showcased at the event and their children were welcome to join in all the festivities. They were treated to live music and education on topics ranging from pre-conception to pre-kindergarten health and wellness. Each guest left with a reusable shopping bag from Whole Foods generously filled with products from the sponsors and educational materials on nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices.
The proceeds from the day not only benefited those who were able to attend but also the two charities that sponsors selected for the month of May: the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and The American Fertility Association. Sponsor Brenda Strong being the national spokesperson for the latter. A major theme of the event was prevention and non-invasive holistic measures to heal our bodies from within, this being shown most distinctly by earmarking the pain management and acupuncture treatments that is offered at the Children’s Hospital. As a whole, the event was successful in relaying vital information about health and wellness for mind and body as it affects individuals and entire communities. All were inspired by the vast quantity of products that equip people to green their bodies, homes, and their overall environments.
