Q: You look so great after just having a baby. What kind of exercises do you do to keep in shape?

A: I go to the gym and do Pilates, but I was lucky because I only gained about 22 pounds with Bea. I get kind of bored at the gym so I like going to the exercise classes. I’ve always loved to dance, and when it’s more fun like that, it’s better than just lifting weights, which I would get bored with and then want to quit too quickly.

Q: Did you work out during your pregnancy?

A: Yes, I did Pre-natal Yoga and Pilates, which are both really great.

Q: How important is it for you to get back to your career and start doing things for you?

A: I’m a mom fi rst defi nitely! I think that when you become a mom though it becomes really easy to lose yourself, and lose your ‘me’ time. Even if it’s something like getting your nails done, getting your hair done, or getting coffee with friends you need to take time for yourself. It becomes really easy to sit around the house and not do any of that. Work is my ‘me’ time. I think to

be a good mom, it’s really important to have that balance. I try to do that as much as possible. Obviously now, with working I’m supporting the family, but I still love what I do. Performing and acting is now my second love. Now it has a different importance because it’s not just something I use to support myself, now I want to do it for my family. Now that I’ve had

both my kids, which is so much fun, it’s now time to add the work element back in.

Q: Do you have any upcoming projects that you are working on? A: I’m getting back into auditioning and really love acting. I love the depth of it and getting to play a good character. I get asked about reality TV shows all the time. I just think once you do one of those it’s really hard to be taken seriously as an actor again. I want to be doing sitcoms and real acting work. My life is so fun and easy as it is, I don’t want to script it not to be. We are also protective over the girls. It’s my choice to be in entertainment, not theirs, and I don’t want to subject them to that.

Q: How would you feel if one of your daughters came to you and said she wanted to act?

A: I’m torn about that. I wouldn’t want to put them in the public eye, unless they wanted to be. I would put them in classes and make sure it was something they really wanted to do. It would be their decision.

Q: Do you still see the crew from “Full House?” A: Yes, I’m still close with Bob and Candace and have gone to their special events throughout the years. We also go to Dave Collier’s house all the time for BBQ’s, etc.

Q: For you, what is the best thing about being a mom?

A: Being a mom is all about the unexpected little moments of hugs and affection. I’m just so lucky to be able to wake up to these little happy people. There’s nothing better than that. Of course, they do have their tantrums…but even then, they pass, and for the most part, it’s about the joy you get out of the little things. For example, Zoie will come up to the end of the bed in the morning, and peak over, and say, ‘Good Morning Mom, the sunshine is awake….” I mean, this is what it’s all about and if I had nothing else, it wouldn’t matter.

As

most moms will agree, being able to hug your child at the end of a long work day, or after a day of household chores and errands, makes it all worth it! It’s the perfect balance of career, love, family and support that allows this “AKA Mom” to accomplish it all!
