Ideas for Summer Fun with your Kids H


aving fun this Summer doesn’t have to break the bank! Entertain your kids and yourself with these low cost or no cost ideas.


1. Backyard camping – pop a tent, make some smores and check out the stars!


2. Get wet – Sprinklers and kiddie pools are always a favorite!


3.Take a trip to the local library – most libraries off er storytimes.


4. Make a garden – kids tend to want to eat their veggies if they helped grow them!


5. Pack a picnic – throw together some sandwiches, fruit and drinks and head for the local park or even a nice shady spot in your yard.


6.Play board games – kids love the interaction and there are tons of educational games available.


7. Make your own pizza – let your kids pick their favorite toppings and have fun!


8. Take a nature walk – a great way to teach kids about their environment… and wear them out! (wink, wink)


9. Camp out (in) – throw the sleeping bags on the fl oor, take turns telling stories and have a family slumber party!


10. Catch lightning bugs – get a jar, put some holes in it and see how many you can catch!


11. Have a movie night – let your kids pick some movies, make some popcorn and curl up together on the couch.
