I’m set to have three different treatments today to target different aspects of my body. The first will be a Fusion 3D Lift facial, then I will have a Regenlite treatment, followed by an iLipo treatment with a personal training session to finish.

As I enter theWest London Dermatology Centre I climb the staircase nervously, not knowing what to expect having never experienced any treatments such as the ones I am about to encounter. I am greeted at reception by Justina, who informs meMichelle will be performing all three of my treatments today, with Stephanie taking over for the final personal training session stage.

Treatment One - Fusion 3D Lift

Michelle escorts me into a small treatment room and directs me onto the couch where she covers me with a blanket for my comfort. She explains the Fusion Facelift targets three layers of the skin, exfoliating dead skin from the surface to leave a smoother texture and promote cell turnover, producing new skin cells.

Firstly she begins with some gentle microdermabrasion, then applies a glycolic mask and uses ultrasound to infuse hyaluronic acid into the mid layer of skin to plump it up. Finally, infrared heat is directed to the lower layer of the skin to tighten and promote the production of collagen to firm and lift the skin.

Afterwards my skin definitely feels softer and plumped, and is a little tender from the microdermabrasion as it is the first time I have experienced it.

TreatmentTwo - Regenlite

After a quick break between sessionsMichelle moves me into the next treatment room to have the Regenlite treatment. Regenlite delivers a specific wavelength of laser light into the skin, which targets the bacteria that causes infection and at the same time stimulates the skin’s immune systems to reduce inflammation and repair the damage caused by infection.

Having suffered with severe acne in my early twenties this is the treatment I am most eager to try. I still get the occasional breakout andMichelle advises Regenlite can help control my active acne as well as helping with the scarring on my chin area.

The front door located off the bustling Chiswick high street.

My eyes are covered and goggles are applied to protect against any bright flashes, and I’m told the treatment feels like having a little elastic band flicked over the skin. The treatment is slightly uncomfortable at first but as we continue I relax into the feeling, which generates a little heat over my skin. I was expecting to look flushed and red after the Regenlite treatment but I’m pleasantly surprised that my skin looks refreshed and rejuvenated.

TreatmentThree - iLipo and PersonalTraining Session

Treatment three is the i-Lipo, which emits low levels of laser energy to disrupt fat cell membranes releasing intra-cellular fat. This releases the fat from targeted areas so it can be burnt off more efficiently by exercising.Michelle notes that i-Lipo is not a quick fix and clients must accompany the treatments with a healthy diet and exercise regime, or the released fat will just settle again. We decide to target my thighs as they are more of a problem area than my stomach, soMichelle straps the i-Lipo pads onto my thighs. I have a ten-minute session on my front, then another 10-minutes on my back. I’m then directed straight into my personal training session where Stephanie puts me through my paces for 45- minutes to burn off the same amount of calories that have been released as fat from the treatment.

She explains the sooner you exercise after the i-Lipo the more effective the treatment is as the fat cells are free and waiting to be expelled. As they say the proof is in the pudding, and my before and after measurements show I’ve lost a total of 5.8cms off my thighs!

The Slim Gym training machines that put me through my paces!

At the end of my training session I jump into the hot shower and relax my aching limbs. As I say goodbye to the friendly staff and leave the clinic I feel refreshed and rejuvenated both inside and out, like I’ve had a complete body overhaul andMOT!

The iLipo system.
