Make-up for hairdressers

Vikky Johnston, lecturer in specialisedmake-up at Newcastle College and expertmake-up artist, is planning to teach the tricks of the trade to would-be hairdressers.

North East-basedVikky has worked onmajor television productions and films along with supporting leading hairdressers on a range of fashion shoots and pop videos.

She recognised that hairdressing students who entered into competitions or organised photoshoots of their work were often unable to afford professional make-up support to complete their looks.

Now with her one-day workshop she is planning to help students to create their own photographic and showmake-up giving the participants the skills they need to complement their styling.
