Various interfaces, its compact design, and the capability of individually controlling up to 16 LED modules make it ideal for innovative lighting concepts.” All products will be made available to the Chinese customers as OEM versions and will thus help to decisively drive development of local solutions.

he Dow Chemical Company (NYSE: DOW) and Ube Industries, Ltd. (Ube) announced an ag-


reement to form a joint venture to manufacture and market formulated electrolytes for lithium-ion batte- ries (LIBs) in energy storage applications.


The 50-50 joint venture, named Advanced Electro- lyte Technologies LLC, is expected to be finalized later this year, pending regulatory approval. The joint venture is another important step in Dow’s commit-


ment to develop innovative material science techno- logies.

uPont has acquired Innovalight, Inc.,


a company specializing in advanced silicon inks and process tech- nologies that increase the efficiency of crystal- line silicon solar cells. The acquisition further strengthens DuPont‘s position in materials for the solar energy market, enabling a broader and more integrated photovoltaic materials and techno- logy offering from DuPont. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
