Companies Facts


Companies (JSC Holding IDGC) signed a Memo- randum of Intent to establish a joint venture for the development and production of nano-coatings. The memorandum was signed at the St. Petersburg Inter- national Economic Forum by OJSC RUSNANO Chief Executive Officer Anatoly Chubais, Alcoa Chairman and CEO Klaus Kleinfeld, and JSC Holding IDGC Deputy Director General and Technical Director, Boris Mekhanoshin. The joint venture will produce a broad range of applications including anti-icing nano-structured coatings for ground cables, wires and other components of power transmission lines. The project also includes production of next- generation wires and cables with improved con- ductivity and anti-icing properties for JSC Holding IDGC companies. Alcoa and RUSNANO joint ven- ture will look to install a pilot production line for the application of nano-coatings. JSC Holding IDGC, in turn, will support implementation of corresponding research and development, tests and certification of new high-tech products.

The facility was arranged by Roswell Capital Part- ners, LLC (“Roswell”). The completion of the fa- cility agreement, and satisfaction of the conditions to the facility agreement announced on March 24, 2011, follows on from announcement of a AUD$ 1,350,000 placement to US and German institutio- nal investors. Alexium has a strong balance sheet to support its US Department of Defense (DoD) and commercial sector product developments, which include the USD$129 million DoD tender for the Uniform Protective Integrated Ensemble (UIPE) for the light weight PANTHER protective garment against chemical and biological warfare agents, for which Alexium is working with Stedfast Inc of Canada and Tennier Industries Inc of Tennessee, USA.
