President’s message from the
World Eightball Pool Federation
On behalf of the World Eight-ball Pool Federation and the Executive committee it is my pleasure and honor to welcome you all to the 2011World Eight-ball Pool Championships, with special welcome to all of you attending for the first time.
These are the 19thWorld Eight-ball Pool Federation Championships, and we are very grateful for our association with main sponsor Barcelo Hotels and Resorts.
We thank the Barcelo team for their financial support and professional approach to working with us to ensure the continued success of these Championships.
These Championships are made possible by hard work and special contribution, I take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank the following:-
Our hosts the English Pool Association committee and championship management team, lead by Chairman Geoff Wilson, Tournament Director Alan Benton and the great support which continues since the start of these championships in 1993 by Mr. George Harwood.
The English Pool Referees Association and visiting international referees for the important role they play to adjudicate and promote in the true spirit of the game.
Eight-Ball Pool Associations of our member countries for your promotion of the game throughout the year in your respective countries and the support you give these World Championships.
Supreme, providers of the Supreme Pool Tables, Miliken providers of the official cloth, and Aramith for providing the Belgiumbilliard balls used at these Championships.
