Ben Nunan, Paul Hancock, Justin Sajich return from last years squad whilst Mark Robertson and Steve Woods were part of the 2008 team and have experience of what is required to compete at world level. It says something for the strength of the squad when newcomers Brenton Collier the national champion and Ron Kelly are amongst the seeded players, backed up by the excellent Jake Mc- Cartney.
This is a seriously strong squad that represents Australia this year and they will not be happy unless they take the trophy back home with them, one of the favourites to take the title, be warned not to take them lightly.

With a semi-final spot in last yearsWorld Championships, the team are now in the top level of the world rankings. The youth and under 21 policy which was introduced by the country is certainly showing through to the senior ranks and makes Malta one of the favorites for this years championships. Five of last years squad return for the 2011 event which gives the team a lot of experience to go with the new faces, some of whom have played at previous events.
Newly crowned European Champion Clayton Attard is the best known player in the teamand is joined in the seeded places by Claudio Cassar and Miguel Falzon. Do not be surprised if Malta are in the final, they are well capable of taking the title in a championship that has many strong teams involved.
