NORTHERN IRELAND

MORRAY DOLAN CHRIS ALEXANDER LYAM McDERMOTT GARATH JOHNSTON NIGEL CRAIG

KEITH WALLS MARTIN QUIGG RYAN CRAIG CONRAD McCANN JOHN McALLISTER

After three consecutive quarter finals placings, the team is holding its own in the top 8 ranked countries of the world. Seven of the team played in the 2010 champi- onships which gives the squad a wealth of experience, including Nigel Craig, Morray Dolan, Keith Walls, Chris Alexander ,Garath Johnston. And John McAllister.

But the really good news for Northern Ireland is the pro- motion of some of the squad from last yearsWorld Under 21 Champions into the senior ranks and there are more to come. LyamMcDermott, Ryan Craig and Martin Quigg were a major reason for last years under 21 success and their introduction into the Mens squad gives the team a much stronger look for this years event. The squad is completed with the introduction of Conrad McCann for his international debut into one of the strongest Northern Ireland squads for several years.

Karl O'Donoghue FRANCE

OLIVIER ROULLET PIERRE DELVIGNE CHARLY VERWAERDE CEDRIC RUIZ

BENOIT DUMEZ PATRICK BLANCHET FELIX VICENTE DAVID GONZALEZ

The team is still developing and although capable of doing well, still lack that experience which can only be gained by playing regularly at world championships level.

In terms of players available within the country and the cue sports pedigree of the French players, they should be at the very top of the rankings and hopefully that is where they are developing to be. Olivier Roullet is the seeded player for the championships and although Charly Verwaerde is the only other player who competed last year, there are other squad members who have experi- enced the world championships in the past.

Will this year see the return of France to their rightful po- sition in World Pool.

UGANDA

SEBBI ADAM DAVID MUGABI CHRIS BBUYE HERBERT KAYUKE GEORGE MUEBI

ROGERS MUSINGUZE STEPHEN KABEZA ALI SEBAANA EMMANUEL OCITTI MUHAMAD KAZIBWE

David McQuillan Robert Mulcahy IRELAND

ROBERT BRADY JOHN McMAHON DAVID McQUILLAN PATRICK MOORHOUSE ROBERT MULCAHY

BARRY HOUGH RONAN FAY ROD CLIFFORD KARL O'DONOGHUE SIMON FITZMAURICE

Another good performance last year has maintained the Ranked No. 3 in the world position but there are other countries not far behind, which makes it vital that this years team continue with the excellent progress of recent years.

With the recent increase of 8 ball Pool in Africa, we give a warm welcome to one of the strongest pool nations from the African continent.

Very little known about their players, but we may get a surprise on the tables as they are undoubtably a well or- ganized association with regular top level competitions in Uganda which is helping their players develop the skills required to compete at World level.

Team is again filled with experienced players with Robert Brady and John McMahon being in the seeded places alongside last years World Under21 Champion Karl O’Donoghue who is making his senior debut.

Most of the other squad members have been involved with previous world championships and have performed well at the very top level of the game. Would expect to see Ireland in at least the play-offs but would not be surprised to see them reach the final stages of the championships.

Having been to their nationals early in the year, they have a brilliant set-up and any team representing Ireland is always going to be full of good players.
