Ms. Pierallini has attended many conferences on aviation, presenting speeches at various Italian and

John Papapetros Banking & Finance Law


John Papapetros is a partner in the V&P Law Firm and is the firm’s banking practice lead. John’s practice encompasses a broad range of finance, banking, financial institutions and related matters, including syndicated bank financing, capital markets transactions and mergers and acquisitions. John has been described by major legal directories as “a corporate and banking transactions expert with in depth knowledge of shipping law”. In 2010 John advised Navios Maritime Acquisition Corporation on a series of acquisition and financing transactions (including a 400 million bond loan) in respect of which Navios Maritime Acquisition received the 2010 Marine Money “Mergers and Acquisition Award”. John also advised Marfin Bank and Investment Bank of Greece on what Marine Money described as “the most intriguing lease transaction of year 2010” which was “Newlead Holdings Ltd’s sale and leaseback transaction with Lemissoler Maritime Company WLL. To fund the transaction (which received the 2010 Marine Money Best Leasing Transaction Award) Marfin Bank provided a $76 million loan to Lemissoler through a Sariah Law compliance structure by extending an


existing facility involving 9 other additional collateral vessels. John was a Vice Chairman of the Maritime


Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA) and is a frequent speaker on IBA and other conference platforms.
