Virginie Claire, Founder of Virginie Claire Products, talks to IB about her life in and out of work.
I didn’t choose the beauty industry, it chose me. I was living in a village in the South of France when an acquaintance of my family from Paris proposed I came to work and study beauty in Paris. For me it was the start of a great adventure.
I entered the beauty industry because I wanted to be more beautiful! Like most young people in France image is everything and struggling with skin problems I wanted to understand and master skin care.
Before being a cosmetic distributor, I am at heart a beauty therapist, and I really enjoy making a difference regarding my clients’ skin. I do enjoy what I do and in choosing Phyt’s organic skin care range to distribute to our agents, I can say that I believe 100% in our product range and in its positive benefits in using it as a professional.
We distribute to over 70 outlets throughout Ireland and the U.K, and I find it very satisfying to be a partner in one of the fastest growing organic skin care in the world. Also, successfully running our salon for the last 15 years has given me vast experience in all the requirements needed to run a professional business.
An average day for me is like an adventure! You never know when you are going to get a call or what kind of exiting news is in waiting.
In my spare time I find gardening is a great way of switching off and brings me to another place.
When I came to Ireland in 1993 I started with limited English on a moped, delivering Domino’s pizza!

I feel my strengths are resilience, experience, product and skin knowledge and of course always looking on the bright side of life...

When I was little as seven years old Elvis Presley was my hero, I used to go around the house with my cassette recorder listening and dancing like Elvis!
My motto for life is don’t postpone things for tomorrow when they can be done today.
I would like to be remembered as a super cool Frenchie! Only kidding. I would like to be remembered as a shiney star amongst million of others shiney stars. After all we are all made of stardust so we can all claim to be a star in our own right.
