If you’ve ever considered introducing tanning units into your salon, or currently have beds in place and are looking to expand your range, then VTUs could be the way to go.
One of the main reasons many salons choose vertical tanning units instead of lie down beds is to make the most of the space they have. Another advantage is that your clients have more freedom of movement in a VTU, and because the VTUs generally use stronger bulbs, it means tanning sessions are speedier.
New features that are popping up in VTUs include intelligent air conditioning units, cooling from different angles with built in technology to know when to cool and to what temperature. Some manufacturers are introducing advanced sound systems, giving clients a more interesting tanning experience and relieving the tediousness of having to stand still while in the sunbeds. MP3 docks are available in some VTUs, meaning a playlist of different song styles can be added, and then tailored to suit the client’s mood. They may prefer the relaxing sounds of the ocean, or some funky dance music to boogie to!
Aroma functions are also being added to sunbeds, meaning clients can choose a certain smell to gently aerate in the VTU to relax or energize them while they tan, whilst mirrored plates in the base provide an additional tanning effect through reflection, and create an extra element of sleek futuristic sophistication.
