INSTITUTE HONOURS NEW FELLOWS


The Board of the Marketing Institute of Ireland recently conferred 11members with the highest category ofmembership, that of fellow of the Institute. Fellowship is awarded in recognition of a member’s contribution to business andmarketing and/or to the work of the Institute itself.


The new Fellows for 2010 are Amie Peters, An Post; Ann O’Dea,Business&Leadership; Declan Fleming, NUI Galway; Ed McDonald, Advertising Association of Ireland; Geoff Lyons, Independent Newspaper Group; Gerard O’Neill, Amárach Research; John Trainor, Onside Sponsorship;Mark Mortell, Fleishman-Hillard;Meadhbh Quinn, Meteor; Michael Barry, Barry & Fitzwilliam; and RositaWolfe, National Concert Hall.


Jarlath Jennings, former chairman of the Marketing Institute of Ireland,meanwhile received the 2010 Pat Cahill Award, which recognises the exceptional contribution of individualmembers to the work of the Institute.
