Kiernan has extensive mar- keting experience within retail and media, having previously held the posi- tion of head of marketing at Arnotts and marketing manager for Newstalk.
8 Ffyona Cunningham has been appointed partnership and marketing manager at Candidate Manager. Cunningham brings 11 years’ experience working in marketing communications roles and commercial partnerships in media, retail and e-commerce. Before joining Candidate Manager, she was market- ing director at IBNEY Company, locat- ed in Uruguay. She also previously worked as head of marketing at Windsor Motors Ireland and promo- tions manager in Independent Newspapers. She has a BBA in mar- keting and languages from the Institute of Technology, Tallaght, an MSc in mar- keting practice from University College Dublin (UCD) and an executive MBA from Michael Smurfit School of Business.
9 Gearoid Collins has been promoted to the position of head of business sales and service delivery at UPC. In his new role, he will be responsible for develop- ing revenue streams through new and
existing markets, nationally and inter- nationally, and in conjunction with UPC’s 11 affiliate countries throughout Europe. Collins has spent the last seven years in various sales and account management roles in UPC. Before that, he held business develop- ment and sales management positions in the banking, finance and recruitment sectors. He has a BA (hons) from UCC and a postgraduate diploma in busi- ness from Michael Smurfit School of Business.
10 Anne Marie Boyhan has been appointed online communications manager in Brand Insight, a division of Insight Consultants. Boyhan previously worked with
Ireland.com, was online marketing manager at
Daft.ie and campaign manager for The Ideas Campaign. She is founder and editor of
WhatSheWears.ie, an online fashion magazine, and also writes for
Independent.ie,
Herald.ie and MSN Ireland. She has a BA in international marketing and languages from DCU and a masters in e-commerce from Universidad de Alcala in Madrid.
11 Claire O’Grady has been appointed sen- ior account manager at Brand Insight. O’Grady specialises in consumer PR and previously worked for Cullen Communications and Fleishman- Hillard. She has a diploma in public relations from the Fitzwilliam Institute and BComm from UCD.
12 Marie McGrath has been promoted to account director at Elevate PR. McGrath, who joined Elevate five years ago, currently works on the Curves, Moet Hennessy,
eBookers.ie and Seat accounts. A graduate of University of Limerick, she previously worked in the
London and New York offices of Edelman PR and at Prior Communications in Dublin.
13 Niamh O’Dea has joined Cawley Nea\TBWA as account director. O'Dea comes to the agency from Chemistry, where she spent six years and handled a range of accounts spanning alcohol, energy and charity. She has a back- ground in film and TV production, and she worked as production co-ordinator on a variety of feature films, TV series and commercials. She has a BA in media studies from University of Ulster and an MSc in advertising from DIT.
14 Ray Swan has been promoted to cre- ative group head at McCann Erickson Dublin. The agency said the promotion came in recognition of work done in recent years, including campaigns for Heineken and the National Cancer Screening Agency work for Cervical Check. His work has been recognised by the industry with ICAD and Shark Awards. Swan joined the agency from Ogilvy & Mather. An art director, his accounts included Lucozade Sport, Deep River Rock, EasiSingles, Safefood and the HSE. He has a BA in English and psychology from UCC and is a graduate of the MSc in advertising from DIT.
