The Irish findings of the Edelman Trust Barometer were presented at a breakfast briefing, held in associa- tion with The Marketing Institute, in TheWestbury Hotel at the end of January. The panel to discuss the findings – which included the fact that Ireland is ranked last out of 23 countries surveyed in terms of trust of govern- ment,media, business and NGOs – wasmade up of Enda Kenny, leader of Fine Gael and now Taoiseach; Barry O’Leary, chief executive, IDA; and Ger Colleran, editor, IrishDailyStar.
