SINCE it first arrived in 2001 the Serious Sam series has made a name for itself with its crazy approach to the FPS. The franchise still exists today, and just last year the first two titles were given a HD makeover and released digitally. Now Mastertronic is


releasing those two games in one box for players who don’t have access to XBLA, or prefer to buy their games from the High Street.


“What physical distribution offers is extra visibility and it unlocks purchases from those who aren’t aware of the XBLA release,” says Mastertronic’s business development director Garry Williams.


“Not to mention gamers who prefer physical media to digital, as well as those who


purchase a title, play it and then trade it back in.”


Serious Sam HD: First and Second Encountercontains all the ugly monsters, outrageous guns and fun multiplayer modes that made the originals hits. “Serious Samkicked the FPS world square in the pants


with its signature frantic action and trademark humour,” adds Williams.


“This classic brand is a proven seller, each version has sold and reviewed well. Expectations for sales are high, as this is the first time that both the updated


Alien Breed Trilogy


ALREADY a hit on XBLA, PSN and PC as digital downloads, the Alien Breed Trilogyis now being introduced to a wider audience by heading to retail. The box includes all three games in the isometric sci-fi shooter series – Evolution, Assaultand Descent.
