National Sales Accounts Manager


Venom are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Sales Accounts manger. The role will involve managing accounts as well as securing new business. Industry experience is preferable but not essential. The role is based in Hertfordshire with no regional boundaries on customer base. You will be part of a energetic sales team focused on growth and strong customer relations.


The successful candidate can expect a basic salary and a commission structure with no ceiling.

NAMCO BANDAI l GARY CHANTLER, BLAISE RODIER and JOSEPH WALSH have all joined Namco Bandai’s UK marketing team. Chantler (above left) becomes product manager and will draw on his experiences from his time at Vivendi and Koch to champion titles such as Ridge Racer Unboundedand Inversion. Meanwhile, new marketing product manager Rodier (middle) will look after Dark Souls, the firm’s 3DS range and more. Finally, Walsh (above right) takes on the role of PR and marketing support. He will assist with customer services, communities, events and IT. “I’m delighted by the strong, passionate dream team in the UK marketing department,” said UK marketing director LEE KIRTON. “We have a very challenging time ahead with some incredibly exciting titles and this is the perfect team focused on achieving our success.”


PLAYGROUND l The UK studio has hired three new additions to its team, all from Codemasters. PHIL COX (pictured far left) joins as lead artist after eight years at Codies, where he led the


User Interface team that worked on Dirt, Dirt 2 and Grid. MATT CRAVEN (middle) becomes chief engineer, leaving his position of lead programmer on Dirt 2. Finally, BEN FELL (above on far right) takes up the role of game designer, having worked on Dirt 2, F1 2010and Dirt 3. “Phil has a superb eye for detail, great technical abilities and an expertise in user experience,” said Playground director GAVIN RAEBURN. “He is already proving key in the development of our current project. “I’ve always impressed by Matt’s technical ability, and on Dirt 2he showed he has the composure and organisation to lead a large-scale engineering team successfully. He is a huge asset to Playground.” Design director RALPH FULTON added: “Ben is a real talent from whom I expect great things - I’m delighted he has joined Playground.”


GINX l The company’s co-founder and managing director of content UDI SHAPIRA has resigned from his operational duties. Shapira was instrumental in the creation and growth of Ginx TV, as well as the channel’s launches in Indonesia and Turkey and programming output deals in the UK, Africa and Spain. He will remain as a shareholder and board director, but has resigned from his day-to-day role to pursue other interests. “We are grateful for Udi’s tremendous contribution to Ginx,” said CEO Michiel Bakker. “His passion and commitment to the cause will be missed.”
