With just two weeks to go, Nintendo is pulling out all the stops to give everyone a taste of the 3DS experience

NINTENDO IS determined to make sure as many consumers as possible get their hands on a Nintendo 3DS ahead of its March 25th launch – and is getting retailers in on the act via its dedicated website. Consumers are directed to the constantly updated www.TryNintendo3DS.co.uk area of the Nintendo 3DS website, where they can find a location to have their first Nintendo 3DS experience. The page will detail not only the large scale national ‘Believe Your Eyes’ tour dates, but also give them the locations of

all retail stores with a Nintendo 3DS, ensuring that all consumers can get up close and personal with a Nintendo 3DS. Consumers can also see more real people’s reaction to their first 3DS experience. Explained Nintendo's head of trade marketing Ben Taylor: “Seeing really is believing with Nintendo 3DS and getting it into store managers hands is vital in driving pre-order and advocacy at store level to shoppers. Nintendo has set a target of training 10,000 store staff on 3DS in the launch period focusing

on its key features of the console and launch titles. “This programme started

in February where 1,500 managers from the UK and Ireland had the chance to play the 3DS in four regional events. This is now being followed by an extensive regional training programme covering all the remaining retailers’ regional meetings and call centres. “The Reach field team is calling on all of our key stores to get the 3DS into the hands of all staff. Watch our for your local Nintendo Ambassador in your store.”
