MEDIA WATCH: FIGHT NIGHT CHAMPION
The buzz behind one of the biggest upcoming titles
“Champion Mode is a risk that paid off particularly well. If you can stand the new mechanics; if you can learn to get along with them like you’d have to an unfamiliar, hectoring trainer, then you’ll love the rest of what Fight Night Championhas to offer.” Tom Pakinkis
12 March 4th 2010
“It's far from a revolution – much of the framework will be familiar to Fight Nightfans – but as the best-looking and most technically accomplished game the series has yet produced, this evolution exceeds our expectations, without totally blowing us away.”
Matt Edwards
“There’s just not quite enough meat on Fight Night Champion’s bones to recommend it to owners of previous games. The core mechanics still do a good job of imitating the sweet science, but EA could have done with a longer rest before getting back in the ring.”
Martin Gaston
“Love the Rockyseries? Then you’ll love the Champion mode’s cheesy tale. It’s also a great way to show you the ropes. There are electrifying fights to be had in Fight Night, with just a few niggles stopping this becoming a true champion.”
