Random Impulse ‘Overload’

Welcoming Random Impulse suggests, it’s to

the music world with his debut single Overload. As the title of the song

overloaded

with a raw musical passion that is rare nowadays. He successfully combines Rap and Rock with ease and shows off his nifty guitar skills. Mr Impulse plays his track in a studio room and turns all the amps up to ‘11’. Next, smoke covers the room and glass starts to shatter. Random Impulse is definitely a music talent and one for the future.

Twissman

feat Ginny B ‘Sumo’

At TGN we love to introduce new and exciting tunes, and Twissman is no exception. Teaming up with the very talented singer Ginny B, Twissman shows off his rapping expertise with his first single Sumo. Coming from his new album, the video takes inspiration from the song title and takes some Japanese culture and brings it to the world of Grime. Not

taking himself too seriously with this, at times, humorous video, we know Twissman will be around for a long time.

Jodie Connor feat

Wiley ‘Now Or Never’

Sexy diva Jodie Connor may be the new girl on the block but she sure knows what she’s doing when it comes to creating a true R&B hit. Now Or Never, featuring UK grime artist Wiley, is about Jodie having a crush on a guy but instead of messing around and playing games, they should get together now or just stay apart. As she sports a number of various sexy clothing items, she seems to be on her way to meet her love to ask him this question. We don’t know what happened... Unfortunately..

Magnetic Man feat

John Legend ‘Getting Nowhere’ Dubstep’s

new bench markers Portable Vaporisers

Magnetic Man have teamed up with Grammy award winning, R&B icon,

John Legend to merge together the two genre’s for the track Getting Nowhere. A slow but tasteful song to display John’s best qualities at his highest potential as Magnetic Man surprise us with their diversity. Randomly, the video is like watching the first Lord of the Ring’s movie when the demon’s on horses are trying to find Frodo’s ring but in the modern world... Weird!

Beady Eye ‘The Roller’

Liam and the boys have been busy since releasing the details of

the

release of their album late last year by releasing a song every month since. With Bring The Light in November, Four Letter Word in December and now The Roller. A smooth toe tapping, soul inspired tune as the acoustic guitar chords and the piano keys mix like the Gallagher magic we know and love. The thrill element in the video is when the band are playing the song in the middle of a skating ring were dirt bikes are driving around them for a visual spectacle from a birds-eye view.

We catch up with our resident club promoter Jonathon Scales as he gives us the low down on what it’s like to be a club promoter in the West End.

Portable Vaporisers

The January blues are now over, the New Year’s resolutions have worn off and slowly clubbing in London is returning back to normal. As predicted January has been terrible what is funny though is that some companies are finding it so difficult they actually hold their Christmas Party in January to save a few pennies!

I think this year for all industries is going to be a tough year, once we ride this year out I predict everything will

return

back to pre credit crunch days and instead of ordering Moet we will see far more Cristal being popped in 2012.

I have been to some really great events in January and I am making much more of an effort to go out more during the week and braving the cold weather. I recently went to the launch of the new Tuesdays at Movida, a night run by promoters CeG and music by (in my opinion) London’s best DJ Ben Cain and also the launch of MAYA’s new Saturday nights.

MAYA has undergone (although new

management and is now being run by one of London’s oldest promoters

hate me for saying it!) Nathan Lewis. Nathan has been running all the major clubs over

he will

the past 10 years and he is transforming the venue into one of the coolest places to party in London and this happens to be the place where you can find me every Saturday from now on. you won’t find bigger bottles being “popped” than at maya every Saturday and they even have a £25,000 bottle for sale!

What I’m really looking forward to this year though and this month

in fact is London

Fashion Week! It is one of the liveliest weeks of the year and fortunately I am invited to all the major parties kicking off with Vivienne Westwood’s launch

In February we have the BaFta’s, BRItS and fashion week so expect some very debauched tales of excess in next month’s issue!

on the 18th February which is usually packed full of the biggest names in the industry. It is just an excuse to get horribly drunk and pretend to know about fashion. everyone tries to stand out during London fashion week and wear

the

most bizarre outfits in the name of fashion I will endeavour to try and fit in this year by wearing a pair of curtains on my head and no pants, “it’s next season” I will tell them.
