Rio Carnival is considered as one of the greatest shows in the world, with hundreds of thousands of people flocking to Rio de Janeiro each year to celebrate the famous festival. Get ready for the most colourful, crazy and amazing street party in the world!


The Brazilians know how to bring the first day of Spring into life, with the world renowned Rio Carnival. Going for over 160 years, for four days, Rio gets blasted with colour and joy as this years festival starts unusually on the 5th of March due to the amount of weeks to Easter. A total of 500,000 tourists are estimated to be flocking to this


years fiesta and are expected to take part in the all day long samba dancing and the extraordinary street parades. With months of preparation bringing joy and entertainment to the Catholic community, the carnival brings together the rich and the poor as the neighbourhoods unite. Favelas are the slums in Rio, with people living in cardboard


boxes. Yet, when the festival comes along, no matter what situation the Favelas’ are in, they actually ‘make’ the carnival what it is. Street bands and drag queens will be lighting up the city and carrying on the long tradition the Brazilian people are known for. Have the experience of a life time and go to the Rio Carnival.
