MCV Awards evolve as digital rises Lobbying opens today  Awards for digital content and sales added  Deadline for nominations is February 11th by Michael French
THREE NEW awards recognising the market’s move towards digital content have been added to April’s big trade event. And today lobbying opens for the MCV Awards 2011 so you can be considered as a finalist. Digital Retail Innovation, Best Use of Social Media and Digital Distribution Team are the new awards added to each of the main categories – Retail, PR & Marketing and People & Industry.
Elsewhere the awards in
the Retail category have been tweaked, acknowledging the increased power of mail order sales – and allowing online and bricks and mortar outlets to compete head-to-head.
The full list of awards can be found to the right. A complete guide to all the categories and how to lobby can be found on page 15. Lobbying is open today, and all suggestions should be emailed to MCVawards@
intentmedia.co.uk.
The deadline for lobbying is February 11th, with
finalists named a week later on February 18th. The awards take place at The Brewery, Chiswell St, London on the evening of April 7th.
