Each day, your group of 30 will embark on one of three themed adventures designed to give context to the Civil War and the topics that Ken Burns sees as critical to our understanding of it: “Lincoln’s War,” “The Meaning of Freedom,” and “The People’s War.” As always with Tauck, you get unique access and support. Your group will have a dedicated Tauck Director and each day dedicated local specialists.


We have identified four upscale and historically significant hotels for you to choose from as your home away from home for the duration of the trip – so there’s no packing or unpacking. Regardless of which hotel you choose, a Tauck representative will be in-house to assist you any way necessary. We have also built free time into the program so you can explore and enjoy all that DC has to offer.
