Itinerary


All 300 guests will come together for our three gala evenings. Each day, your group of 30 will embark on one of three themed sightseeing tracks: Lincoln’s War, The Meaning Of Freedom or The People’s War. Not all groups will experience the same theme every day, but all guests will see everything. Your specific detailed day-by-day itinerary will be provided at time of booking. Below is a sample five-day itinerary:


Day 1 Sunday, May 22 • Welcome - All Day


• Meet & Greet guests, with transfers from either Washington airport or Union Station


• Meet your Tauck Director & transfer to the National Building Museum


• Lecture by Harold Holzer, Civil War historian


• Open-bar Cocktail Reception followed by seated Welcome Dinner


• Performance by Victorian Dance Ensemble Day 2 Monday, May 23 • Breakfast


Lincoln’s War Sightseeing Track • Visit Lincoln’s Cottage • Visit Ford’s Theatre • Visit Library of Congress


• Free afternoon & evening to explore and enjoy Washington, DC
