A WINE ADVENTURE
The GLASS HOUSE is a new restaurant and wine bar concept created by TV wine expert Olly Smith. The wine list positively globe-trots
around the world and offers the chance to order a ‘wine flight’. These eight ‘flights’ consist of three 125 ml glasses of wine especially selected by Smith. At just £8.95, the ‘Taste of Azura’
Oliver, the plethora of nightly diversions has been elevated to a new level – one that was unimaginable in the days of Canberra. The Headliners Theatre Company offers
a variety of shows packed with amazing choreography. Shows such as Destination Dance, When Swing Was King, Hitzville USA, and My Generation, all capitalise on the au courant fad for all things dance.

n my cruise, violinist Gary Lovini and singer Nik Page gave outstanding performances in the
expansive Playhouse Theatre. This was also the venue for comedians Martin Gold and Adrian Walsh, who had packed houses laughing in the aisles. Manhattan is a buzzing nightclub at the stern of the ship, where Rudi West’s topical humour was well received, as was the comedy magic of Manuel Martinez and impressionistic comedy of Steve Tandy. This was also the venue for the wealth of tribute acts, which included John Ellis as Elton John, Kennie Simon as Errol Brown, Katy Setterfield as Dusty Springfield and Maxine Mazumder as Lulu. fered a varied programme, as did interna- tionally renowned tenor Morgan Lee James

flight offers an Albariño Lagar de Pintos 2008 from Galicia; a Planeta Cerasuolo di Vittoria 2007 from Sicily; and a Gaia Estate S Agiorgitiko/ Syrah 2007 from Nemea in Greece. ‘Olly’s Own Selection’ includes a Hush Heath Balfour Brut Rosé English Sparkling Wine 2006; a Höpler Grüner Veltliner 2008 from Burgenland, Austria; and a Raats Cabernet Franc 2006 from South Africa – great value at just £11.50.
The menu features ‘small plates’ and ‘large plates’ so passengers can pick and choose tapas-style and match more than 30 different wines accordingly. ‘Small Plates’ – at £4.95 for three dishes - include unbelievably tasty salt and pepper tempura king prawns with Thai dip; Chorizo sausage, pork belly and butter bean cassoulet; and hot oak-smoked salmon fishcakes with hollandaise and broccoli sauce. ‘Large Plates’ range from an 8oz bison burger with truffle mayonnaise for £4.95 to Hampshire lamb and rosemary handmade sausages with grain mustard mash and carmelised shallot gravy at £4.95, as well as a variety of Casterbridge-aged steaks where an 8oz sirloin is a tasty £4.50. There is also a selection of desserts at £2.75.
