Hebridean holds
HEBRIDEAN ISLAND CRUISES have an- nounced the 23rd successive season of their 5-star Hebridean Princess in and around the Hebrides will feature a sec- ond year of prices held at 2009 levels. In addition, for the first time in more than 15 years and in response to guest feedback, a number of longer 9 and 10-night cruises have been included. As well as visiting more than 30 Scottish Islands and usual cruising grounds of Scotland’s West Coast and the Western Isles from her base in Oban, the Princess will replicate a programme around the sea lochs of Argyll and the Clyde Estuary during March and November of 2011. A highlight of the 2011 programme will be a series of cruises through August and September that circumnavigate Britain, with maiden calls both on the British mainland and on the near continent. Hebridean’s Guest Speaker pro- gramme, introduced in 2010, has been extended in 2011 with a line-up that includes Jim Gardiner, Chief Curator of the Royal Horticultural Society’s Gardens along with Mike Everett, a conserva- tion and ornithology specialist who has worked for the RSPB for nearly 40 years.
