A SINGULAR ATTRACTION
The unusual and one-of-a-kind STUDIO STATEROOMS were created especially for solo travelers. There are 128 of
the vanity top sink is situated inside the cabin. This arrangement has generated some negative comment, both for the lack of bathroom privacy and the basin being so small as to make it almost impossible to have a decent wet shave.
H
owever, the cabins themselves are extremely attractive, with a tremendous amount of storage space. There is also a wide selection of accommodation, from 852sq ft Deluxe Owner’s Suites to family cabins and the unique Studio Staterooms, another cruise ship first. Above the bridge is a two-deck high structure containing the remarkable Courtyard Villas com- plex. This is the largest ship-within-a-ship area at sea and features 67 suites, villas and penthouses, a private pool and gym, plus an exclusive lounge and dining room. The pool area is a genuine oasis,
with hot tubs and comfortable poolside furniture, including daybeds and private cabanas. Like MSC’s Yacht Club, there is a dedicated con- cierge. Users also have access via a private glass el- evator to the exclusive Posh Beach Club on Deck 18, which, after sunset, becomes an open-air nightclub. On Deck 16 are The Epic Club and Courtyard Grill. Here, guests can enjoy the comfort of a contemporary- style lounge or eat in either a formal setting in the Club restaurant or the casual outdoor area of the Grill. With no main dining room and a choice of no less than 21 dining options, Epic offers the ultimate in eat-when-you-like informality. Most of the restau- rants stay open from 5.30pm to late evening and, with no fixed times or pre-assigned seating, one can enjoy a far more relaxing cruise. Like popular restaurants ashore, it is highly advis- able to book in advance for the smaller, specialist
these single-occupancy inside cabins on Decks 11 and 12. Users also have key-
card access to the STUDIO LOUNGE, an ultra-modern shared private lounge. Designed by a UK- based company, the Studios are cosy (just 100sq ft) double-bed cabins.
They also have a one-way porthole window looking onto a corridor, which has mood lighting to reflect the time of day.
