Bellevue Sail & Power Squadron Boating Classes
September 13: Seamanship: Begins, 7:00-9:00 pm for eight weeks. September 21: Piloting: begins Tuesday, 7:00-9:00 pm for 10 weeks. Jr. Navigation: Please pre-register. Time and date will be determined. September 22: Skipper Saver begins, 6:00-8:00 pm for five weeks. September 23: BSPS is offering the Public Boating Course. The classes will be held on Thursdays, 7:00-9:00 pm, and run for nine weeks. September 25: America’s Boating Class, at 0800. This is an 8-hour class. Seminars, held at the Bellevue West Marine, are one-time only, two hour classes, on Wednesdays, 6-8:00 p.m. September 29: GPS class. October 6: VHF class. October 13: Radar class. PSCC Events Puget Sound Cruising Club is
a group of sailors interested in long distance and local cruising. PSCC meetings are held at North Seattle Community college, 7:30 pm on the third Friday of the month in the Concert Hall LB1141 (large auditorium, on the ground floor). Your $3.00 donation at the door helps cover the room rent. The club plans local cruises on

captain of the 64’ cutter SV Ocean Watch, will be giving a slide presentation and documenting their 25,000 mile sailing circumnavigation of the American continents. The expedition has raised awareness of ocean health issues such as polar ice melt, coral reef health, ocean acidification, collapsing fisheries, ocean debris and pollution and changing sea levels and coastal erosion. Boating Skills & Seamanship Course September 13-October 25
The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary
has scheduled a “Boating Skills and Seamanship” Course in Bellingham, at 6:30 pm, at St. Lukes Conference Ctr, 3333 Squalicum Parkway, Bellingham. This comprehensive course offers
recreational boaters instruction and information covering safety equipment, boat handling, navigation, water and weather, federal and state requirements for boating, and much more. The boating course fee is $40 and
