docked a relatively high number of product tankers. In addition other vessels types have varied widely, from general cargo to offshore related special vessels. Visitors of note to Shipdock’s Harlingen yard have included the cargo ship Vlieland, which suffered hull damage due to ice. Te yard renewed hull and hold plating along the length of the ship, involving 65tonnes of steel in total. For the tanker Star Curacao, the yard renewed an imploded cargo tank. On this project the double bottom and side tank section was cut out and moved using hydraulic trolleys, the imploded tank was lowered and removed and a new 28tonne stainless steel tank was liſted into place. Te double bottom and side tank section were then moved back into place and welded in position. Finally all the cargo lines were reconnected to the cargo tank. Shipdock is carrying out some important

carried out the conversion and renewal of refrigeration and fish processing installations
on board the Carolien. This involved the removal of existing equipment such as compressors, coolers, and froster tables and extensive steelwork to create new spaces to accommodate the new installations.
