Metrologic’s ScanPal2 is a lightweight, portable data collection terminal, designed for all-day, everyday use. The compact design allows the user single-handed operation, ease of use and durability. Using only two standard ‘AAA’ batteries, the ScanPal 2 provides over 100 hours of operation. The 1MB SRAM allows for approximately 50,000 records to be stored in ScanPal 2’s memory. Uploading the collected data is quick and easy via RS232, IR, IrDA, or Keyboard Wedge data transmission. There are a multitude of applications in which ScanPal 2 performs, including inventory/stock control, shipping and receiving, document monitoring, factory floor data collection, shelf price audits, price checking, asset tracking, warehousing and distribution operations.

Metrologic’s SP5700 OptimusPDA is a durable Microsoft® Windows®-based rudded device, ideal for applications throughout the supply chain in retail, postal home delivery and industrial applications. With a durability rating of IP54 and a 1.5m drop specification, the Optimus PDA brings versatility to the harshest of indoor and outdoor workplace environments, being designed specifically for applications where temperature varies according to the season and working conditions can be relatively poor. The unit is offered as either a 1-D laser or 2-D imager for bar code data collection and a range of wireless options can be combined into one PDA including WiFi, GSM-GPRS and Bluetooth to ensure that the unit can cope with the most demanding of mobile applications.
