Anchors Away! Turmoil Grips Legacy News Giants
Public fed up with dishonest reporting, says media expert James Hirsen.

omething very big is going on with the media. Maybe it’s what observers are calling the “Trump Eff ect.”
Or perhaps it’s the sudden aware-
ness by media management that the current mood of the American people isn’t aligning with the programming that is being off ered. In any case, a whole lot of famil- iar faces are quickly disappearing from
broadcast and cable news venues. Here’s a partial list of individuals
who have split the liberal media scene: Chris Wallace, who had previously
left Fox News for CNN, said adieu to that network too. Former Meet the Press host Chuck
Todd exited NBC. MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell vacated
her anchor chair. Lester Holt stepped away from his
anchor job at NBC Nightly News. Joy Reid was pink-slipped from her MSNBC prime-time post. Anchor Jim Acosta, after being
shuffl ed to a lower-profi le time slot, moved on from CNN. Norah O’Donnell fl ed her CBS
anchor desk. Alex Wagner was evicted from
her four-times-a-week prime-time MSNBC show. The sight of so many leftist media
