The South East Onwards and Upwards for East Sussex
The extended area is accessed by the new Combe Valley Way, linking to Hastings and, beyond that, London and Kent. It will include hundreds of homes to support the growing population – many already developed or under way.
Sea Change Sussex’s remit has been to create an enterprise park there to foster a vibrant new business community.
The company first developed Glovers House, a 25,000 sq ft contemporary office building, as well as a road leading into the business park from the town, connecting through to Combe Valley Way and providing access to land for new homes and a medical facility.
Glovers House was immediately let in its entirety as the new headquarters for Park Holidays UK, one of the country’s biggest holiday companies, which moved in with 90 employees and room for further growth.
Pacific House
There have been significant recent developments in the commercial property scene in East Sussex.
Several businesses have moved to the Pacific House offices in Eastbourne, while major changes are under way at the Bexhill Enterprise Park, owned by economic development company Sea Change Sussex.
Pacific House, Eastbourne Pacific House, the 25,000 sq ft contemporary business centre on Eastbourne’s Sovereign Harbour Innovation Park, recently opened its doors to HR and legal services firm Loch Associates. With offices already in London, Tunbridge Wells and Brighton, Loch has doubled in size over the last three years and has now opened its Eastbourne base with room for 10 employees.
Commercial broker Professional Insurance Agents has also relocated to Pacific House with 11 employees, having been acquired by US insurance giant Brown & Brown. And BMR Construction has taken an office in the building to manage its expanding portfolio of projects in Sussex.
Pacific House now stands at 95% occupation, with just two offices remaining available.

A few miles along the coast to the east, the Bexhill Enterprise Park is drawing a good deal of interest.
The Park is part of a programme to create a major urban extension to Bexhill.
High Weald House Development sites
With High Weald House now two-thirds full and several of the remaining offices under offer, the Bexhill Enterprise Park is now entering the next stage of its development.
Southern Water is currently installing mains foul drainage to support all the commercial and residential sites in the area, enabling Sea Change Sussex to offer high-quality, serviced development plots on the Park which can support up to 220,000 sq ft of premises.
The smallest sites – Plots 3 and 6 in the drawing – are already under offer; and the roadside site opposite High Weald House has been sold to Marstons.
But Plot 5, next to High Weald House, is available with planning permission in place for an additional 25,000 sq ft set of offices.
And Plots 7 and 8 form the largest site on the Park, covering nearly 16 acres and available for a variety of employment developments.
Further industrial sites and premises will also become available soon, with the Bexhill Enterprise Park continuing to go from strength to strength.

Sea Change’s next move was to create High Weald House – a 25,000 sq ft, energy-efficient business centre.
The property has attracted a wide range of companies from tax consultants Acuity Professional to medicolegal practitioners Expert In Mind, Internet firm CityFibre, recruiters WeComm, insurers NBS Underwriting and Green Insurance, and eye surgery clinic SpaMedica.
