Welcome to the Entrepreneurial Zone Buckinghamshire is a region where ideas


flourish, where businesses grow. The county has world leading assets and sectoral strengths in the space, film, high-performance engineering and technology sectors.


Buckinghamshire Enterprise Zone, managed by the Buckinghamshire Growth Board, is facilitating the strengthening of infrastructure at Silverstone Park (home of the High-Performance Technologies), Westcott Venture Park (home to the National Space Propulsion Test Facility) and Arla/ Woodlands sites, by attracting and developing new business investment, and accelerating the growth and development of local enterprise. To date Buckinghamshire Enterprise Zone has supported over 1,700 new jobs, 75 businesses and attracted £222m of private investment.


The scale and specialised nature of the


developments and their highly strategic position is enabling Buckinghamshire Enterprise Zone to challenge internationally as a major new employment location. In total, the Enterprise Zone


designation covers approximately 96


hectares of commercial land with the potential to create over 310,000m2 of employment floorspace and over 5,500 new jobs.

Westcott is already playing in helping the UK deliver on its National Space Strategy and in attracting significant international investment. The cluster is projected to grow at around 10% per annum to 2030, with a rapid acceleration in floorspace across the 650-acre site planned to meet demand.


Silverstone Enterprise Zone, next to the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit and at the centre of the Silverstone Technology Cluster, is a global destination for innovation, business development, and engineering. The range of activity here has diversified from motorsport through to EV, battery technology vehicle upcycling, additive manufacturing and around 100,000 sqm of space is to be created in the Enterprise Zone, with around 40,000 sqm remaining to be built.


In addition, there are growth options for film, TV and agritech sectors at the Aylesbury Woodland Enterprise Zone, which currently hosts Apple TV, MBS, Arla and Olleco with over 100,000 sqm of commercial space in the pipeline.


Looking forward, we are excited to be able to use the Enterprise Zone programme to support investment in innovative growth. This growth will be driven by the use of new technologies and a closer collaboration between the business community, academia and research partners from across the world, to ensure that Buckinghamshire is seen as an international testbed for innovation and collaboration.


With the support of Buckinghamshire Council valuable jobs will be created in the local community as a new warehouse development from Ashford Developments has seen two major pre-sales reach exchange of contracts totalling 147,633 sq. ft and leaving just one Grade A warehouse unit on the estate available To Let / For Sale of 46,065 sq. ft. The development is due to reach practical completion in Q2 2025. Pioneer Design & Build Ltd have been appointed as the main contractor.


Units C & D combining 101,568 sq. ft. has been purchased by Setna IO the US aviation business specialising in aftermarket aircraft parts has made a major launch into the UK market with the acquisition of this new unit for their UK HQ.


Unit B of 46,065 sq. ft. has been purchased by a local business as their new HQ facility.
