Finn Curry Dubbing Mixer

I started out in my mid-twenties as a runner in Soho, before joining Sky 14 years ago as a trainee and shortly after became a dubbing mixer and now include re-recording. I mix, edit, sound design and dialogue edit longform programmes.

State of the Art Audio & Atmos I work in Theatre 1 on Pro Tools Ultimate with the Avid S6 console and a 3m viewing screen. The theatre is fully Dolby Atmos certified. We have a further six Pro Tools suites (including a second Atmos suite) all running on top of the range Avid S6 consoles.

I love my craft. The satisfaction of getting to the stage where you can show a client the mix and they love it is the same as it ever was. It’s time consuming and exacting producing full Dolby Atmos drama mixes, but very satisfying.

Recent projects include Hitmen Series 1 and 2 for Tiger Aspect, a comedy/drama mixed natively in Dolby Atmos. Every year I oversee final Dolby Atmos audio on the popular series Portrait and Landscape Artist of the Year for Storyvault.

Mark Mulcaster Colourist

I’m in my seventeenth year of working at Sky. I started as a trainee editor and worked my way to senior editor working before making the transition over to colour five years ago.

We have two large, state-of-the-art Colour suites running Baselight Two with Sony BVM-X300 OLED monitoring (which you’ll also find in online). I couldn’t ask for a better toolset, especially for HDR.

A Passion for Colour & HDR I mainly grade factual and entertainment shows in both SDR and HDR as well as high profile promo campaigns and support HDR productions with colour workflow advice. I get a real buzz when you hear a client say “wow” about a grade, even more so now in HDR when they see it for the first time. There is always a reward in being part of a collaborative process where I work some of the best creative talent in the business - that includes both our customers and my SPS co-workers.

I’m proud of my work on the Hotspots documentary series and Urban Myths comedy/drama series and have just completed work on Season 1 of Landmark for Primal Media (for Sky Arts).

Michael Dufour Editor

I started at Sky in 1999 as a sports archivist and have been a VT editor since 2004. The switch to editing was borne out of intrigue and fascination and Sky supported my journey with both internal and external training. The first time I walked into an edit suite, I knew this is what I wanted to do; that this was my calling.

Most of my work is editing on Avid Media Composer or Adobe Premier and I use Clean Edit EVS for fast turnaround shows. I also design and create looks working on After Effects, Photoshop and occasionally Illustrator.

The Best Technical Support Working at Sky doesn’t feel like work at all. I have incredible support from the operations and technical support team and being at Sky I always get solutions to any problems that could arise in the edit.

Recent projects include At Home with the Redknapps for CPL Productions, a new 4K pilot show called Decipher for Transistor Films, as well as delivering sports shows for Sky including the Ryder Cup, the NFL Superbowl and Super Sunday Football and Sky promos.
