The Scale of the Enterprise

Sky has always had an enviable reputation for delivering well produced television from Sport through Sky Arts. SPS modern, purpose-built television studios come with cameras and crews, floor management, graphics, full lighting, make-up, scenery, sound, technical management and vision mixing. SPS can support your next production off site with technical advice and help you deliver flexible, remote workflows both in the cloud and linking back to the campus for your finishing and mastering. SPS Post can deliver to virtually any brief, with
a staggeringly broad slate and talented creative specialists from scripted comedy and powerful documentary to quick-turnaround sports, beautiful promos, and shiny floor studio shows. SPS Post delivers 100,000 hours of editing each year to internal and external clients. SPS has the capacity to take on even the biggest productions with 70 suites and 50 remote seats, all powered by 100% renewable green energy, so your Albert certification is a piece of cake. But most of all what SPS has to offer is a dedicated team of talented creative operators and knowledgeable technicians to support your next production. The experience is one of working at a boutique post house but with the considerable support and scale of the larger Sky enterprise. SPS’ creative flair, technical know- how and workflow management ensure success and all within one self-contained environment with good communications and everything you need in one place.
Adam Downey Director of Post Production
We are passionate about post with a large team of dedicated engineers, operators and craftspeople at every stage of production who take considerable pride in their individual contribution. A large proportion of the post team has been trained right here at Sky and we are committed to keep nurturing our own talent. In return we have a stable, engaged and well trained team delivering some of the most watched and best loved television in the country.
For our entertainment and scripted work, we have always worked to the production company, not Sky, and several of them have returned for non-Sky commissioned shows to work with our team, which we deliver with the same attention to detail and work ethic. Our focus is always on the project.
Attention to Detail We treat every job, no matter its budget or complexity, with the same care and attention. Our job is simple, to make the complicated seem simple and to realise your vision with our talent, facilities and knowledge. It is this that allows us to offer a boutique experience within a much larger enterprise. And that enterprise also carries benefits.
Sky has an industry-wide reputation as an innovator and early adopter. Our post team get to experiment with all the new formats and delivery specifications - like UHD, HDR and Dolby Atmos HE - before they become a working reality. So, when the demand follows, we’re well ahead of the curve.
Working at Isleworth I am so proud to be working for a company that has a history and more importantly a strong plan to help address climate change. We currently have one of the most sustainable facilities in the world, fully Albert certified, with plans every day, week and year to take this even further with the aim of being carbon zero by 2030.
The Sky campus is phenomenal; lovely outdoor spaces, fantastic good value food in our cafeteria, a state-of-the-art gym, a hair salon, nail bar, an on-site mini Waitrose, plenty of car parking and even a car wash. You can have everything you need in one place less than 40 minutes from Central London and within easy reach of the Piccadilly, Central and District Lines and just off the M4.
Adam was previously Head of Post Production for Warner Bros TV in the UK and US, and his last credit as an editor was for Oscar-winning Documentary, Man on Wire.
