Last year The Look moved their entire machine room to a data centre. This freed up valuable space in their Margaret Street facility to build two new grading and online suites. Upcoming projects include the returning series Gangs of London, Top Boy and Sex Education, as well as the new Netflix and MRC movie Persuasion starring Dakota Johnson.


Two recently mastered series have received critical acclaim with multiple awards for Landscapers, and the long running series Top Boy.


Congratulations to Erik Alexander Wilson BSC who has won the BAFTA for Photography & Lighting and the BSC Best Cinematography in a TV Drama for Landscapers. We are also extremely proud of our team who worked hard with Erik and Will to create such a creative series.


There were seven nominations for Landscapers in total, including Best Director for Will Sharpe. Landscapers was graded and finished in UHD SDR & HDR and was produced by SISTER in association with South of the River Pictures for HBO, Sky Studios and NBC Universal.

I had already begun creating my own looks during prep, and was able to show Thomas & Grace what we were looking to achieve. Both myself and Will were keen that the grade and online could happen simultaneously, due to the nature of the complex blending transitions and multiple camera formats and effects. From our initial meeting through to final review, I was delighted with the collaboration we had with the team at The Look.
