‘All-new’ is the watchword for this year’s iceTackle*, as T&G gets a sneak peak at what’s coming from Leeda’s brand for 2018…

L

eeda’s annual trade event, iceTackle*, is only a few weeks away and the Milton Keynes-based manufacturer and distributor has unveiled some of its latest releases ahead of the three-day show that will be held between February 20th – 22nd. A multitude of brands will be on

show, covering all aspects of angling and offering new products across a series of brands that target key price points and demographics. Match brand MAP will be showcasing the expansive QRS accessory system that is being bolstered by new additions that work alongside its varied range of seatboxes, which includes the world’s fi rst carbon- framed models and will be appearing at the show. UK anglers. For multiplier users the M-sport range has been expanded with the new Elite models, complete with Fuji componentry and with prices starting at under £270, these are top-end casting machines. The range will also debut clothing and luggage. Wychwood’s carp and game sectors have also both been busy; for game anglers the brand has a new range of high-end rods that sit above the current award-winning RS models. Named RS Competitor, these take the RS concept of precision casting power without compromising on fi sh-playing abilities, but incorporating ENIR technology, which means tougher, stronger blanks that are lighter than regular carbon tubes. Three rods make up the range, a 9ft 6in seven- weight, and two 10-footers in 7w and 8w sizes. New clothing is also
