Redrow support Cowbridge Town Blacks U15s
Award-winning housebuilder, Redrow Homes South Wales, has proudly become a new sponsor for Cowbridge Town Black’s U15s team. Redrow Homes has provided the young squad with a brand new kit for their upcoming season, featuring fiery red and black jerseys with the Redrow logo printed on the front. As a club completely dependent upon its volunteers and one-off contributions, Cowbridge Town Blacks have accepted the sponsorship with pride and intend to see the season through on a high. Club Manager Phil Webb commented that: “Grassroots football is struggling: despite the best efforts of the Football Association of Wales, Local Authorities, schools and well-meaning parents giving up their spare time, a challenging financial climate and the lure of social media and gaming has taken its toll. Tis year alone, many sides playing junior football in the Vale League have folded as a result of such issues. In this environment, any kind of assistance is welcome and it was therefore with immense gratitude that an offer for sponsorship of the shirts for Cowbridge Town Blacks under 15s side was received.” Kate Lacey, Area Sales Manager of Redrow Homes South Wales, said: “Te opportunity to support a local club and encourage the continuation of the younger generation partaking in competitive sport is something we value greatly. Te team has immense potential for a successful season and we are excited to be a part of it! At Redrow we believe the communities of the areas we build in are extremely important and will continue to do all we can to support them.” Phil added: “Te support of a company like Redrow, one of the UK’s leading housebuilders, is somewhat apt due to our shared values - what we wanted to achieve as coaches with the boys has many similarities
to what Redrow wants for homemakers - to make better memories. What we want to encourage the boys to achieve this season is to be the best they can be and in football they’ve found a place to learn what this means – from standing up and fighting against teams far superior to them to being humble in their celebration of victory.” “We share the ethos of Redrow for our boys that in the home, or in our case on the field, the best memories are made, to quote our sponsors, “the happy, the funny, and the poignant.”” Redrow’s St Davids Meadow development is situated in the picturesque village of Colwinston, Cowbridge. It is just a few minutes’ walk away from its own popular primary school and offers the very best of both worlds,
