The Biggest Pumpkin in Bridgend?
Breaking new ground at Coleg Gwent
Forget giant peaches, it’s all about the giant pumpkin at Parc Slip Nature Reserve and Visitor Centre this autumn.
Parc Slip, owned and managed by local wildlife conservation charity; The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales, is asking people to embrace Halloween by guessing the weight of a gigantic pumpkin! The phenomenon of a squash is currently sitting in the reception area of the Visitor Centre in Bridgend for all to see. Guesses are being taken at the counter in the Visitor Centre for £1 up until Sunday 22nd October. The person with the closest guess to the correct
weight will win the pumpkin a week before Halloween – leaving plenty of time to get carving. All the proceeds raised from people donating £1 to guess the weight of the pumpkin will go towards supporting
The
Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales’ vital conservation work.
The pumpkin was kindly donated to Parc Slip from Peter Hatherley;
the chairman of
The Wildlife Trust’s Bridgend Local Group. To find out how you can help the Trust in other ways, visit
