LUNCH After viewing the yachts, we head to the Monaco Yacht Club for a light lunch on the terrace to discuss the spec of the new purchase. After much thought, and a facetime call to their teenage children, the family have confirmed the order of a new 131 Yacht! After an enjoyable lunch, I head over to our Monaco Office to meet with the team to debrief on our involvement with this year’s Monaco Grand Prix. This is the second year Sunseeker has been the official tender service for Red Bull Racing. We support with 7 vessels, ranging from a pristine ‘James Bond’ vintage Superhawk through to a brand-new Predator 50’. We spend almost a week with Red Bull Racing, integrating 20 of our team from across the group. This type of activity is testament to our phenomenal work force who step up and become an integral part of amazing spectacle.

SUNSET As the sun sets over Monte Carlo Bay, I take the opportunity to say a quick hello to the Captain and Crew from two Sunseekers who call Monaco their home port. One is a 95’ Yacht and the other an 86’. It is extremely valuable for me to have a great relationship with Captains and Crew. The feedback from these guys and gals is immensely important for us to give the best possible service to our clients going forward.

of our locations each week, this could be Bodrum or Dusseldorf to Torquay or Mallorca. We have a strict agenda, and as a team troubleshoot any problems as well as hatch plans for forthcoming events and boat shows. The South of France is still probably the most important boating location in the World and our service and sales teams are incredibly busy all year.

After a high-octane 90-minute meeting, I take to the air with two of the team to meet a client in Cannes. We balance the cost of using helicopters with the cost of our time. The customer and his family have grown with the Sunseeker family having started 20 years ago with a 29’ Mohawk. I am now meeting him and his wife to view a stunning 131’ Sunseeker Yacht in Cannes before we helicopter to Monaco to view a 116’ Yacht to see which may be most suitable for him. This will be his 9th Sunseeker and we have become great friends over the years.

Whenever and wherever we can, we’ll involve our customers in events and rendezvous-style yacht meetings, seeing customers making new friends and sharing their ownership experience is a massively satisfying part of my job.

DINNER It is back onto one of our owner’s boats in Monaco Harbour for dinner. David, my business partner has been with our Sunseeker Italy team today, and has helicoptered into Fontvieille and will make his way over to the boat. The dinner is relaxed, with the owner, his business partner and 2 friends. Our business is entrepreneurial, and if I had to categorise our clients in any way, it would be to call them entrepreneurs as well. David and I enjoy introducing like-minded people to each other and this strengthens the Sunseeker Family. Philanthropy is important to us all and conversation at dinner turns to new ideas that we can all support to help with our chosen charities. The food prepared by the on-board chef is sensational, the highlight being a roasted turbot with Provençal panisse bread and grilled vegetables. The table looks sensational and as the evening draws to a close the twinkling lights of Monte Carlo reflect on the water of Port Hercules and there is a brief moment to appreciate and reflect on what we have.
