Elavation buys big
Access hire specialist Elevation Platforms has placed an order with Access Platform Sales for Hinowa platforms that is worth over £1million. It is the biggest order that APS has received for the Italian-made tracked platforms in 2020. Over the coming months the Milton Keynes-
based company will be taking delivery of models from across the Hinowa spider platform range. The new order will include the TeleCrawler13 – the first spider platform with all-electric drive motors – two Hinowa Lightlift 26,14 Performance IIIS spider booms and a Hinowa Lightlift 17.75 Performance IIIS. Elavation Platforms has also appointed a new specialist equipment manager, Mandy McClement-John (pictured with APS Group MD Steve Couling) to ensure it makes best use of its growing Hinowa spider platform fleet.
Grubs puts the boot in
A stout pair of boots is essential when wielding a chainsaw, but all the better if they’re easy on the eye too. Enter Grubs with its ‘Chainamic’ footwear, which not only mark the company’s tenth year of ISO 9001 accreditation, but take safety to the next level. The new Chainamic boots have been rigorously tested at
IMER adds tracked spider boom
IMER Access, the Italian manufacturer of tracked booms and scissor lifts, has upgraded its range with a new addition to its IM-R ‘spider’ range. The catchily titled ‘IM R15 DA’ is a 15m dual articulated
boom machine with a 7m outreach and unrestricted 230kg SWL inside the working envelope. Compact and lightweight, the machine competes favourably with rival products, albeit with higher standard specifications and a lower price tag. The new machine offers wireless controls, non-marking tracks and ‘IMER VIEW’, which is a remote diagnostic and management system. UK specification also includes a five year warranty. IMER Access products have previously
sold through NEG Services, looking after southern England, and Specialist Access Engineering covering the north west and Wales. Bolstering its UK dealer
network, IMER has just appointed newly formed Cherrypicker Shop Ltd to cover North East England and Scotland, with service points in County Durham and in the central belt of Scotland.

the SATRA testing facility and offer an array of features that are bound to find favour with keen arborists. Foremost of which is protection against chainsaws moving as fast as 28 metres per second. This is courtesy of special material in the orange vamp that clogs the chain and stops it moving. The boots are also steel-free thanks to the ceramic
composite used in the toecap, which means the boots do not conduct electricity. Meanwhile, a 5mm CR-Foam inner bootie keeps feet warm down to temperatures of minus 20, and the sole has been tested to the highest level of SRC slip resistance. Screw- in spikes can also be fitted for additional grip on timber or ice surfaces. The Chainamic
boots are available in charcoal/black, and in sizes 6 – 13.
